Clear Your Calendars: G-TOKYO X NEW TOKYO CONTEMPORARIES
During the G-TOKYO extravaganza at the Mori Museum the younger galleries that form the NEW TOKYO CONTEMPORARIES consortium will be holding their own day-long event. Scheduled for February 19th, the event is comprised of a day long exhibition of the artists represented by the seven galleries (Ken Sasaki (AOYAMA l MEGURO), Tatzu Nishi (ARATANIURANO), Masayoshi Hanawa (ZENSHI), Dale Berning (Take Ninagawa), Kaoru Arima (MISAKO & ROSEN), Chim ↑ Pom (Mujin-to Production), Yuki Mashimo (Yuka Sasahara Gallery)), talk sessions and a party. The talks (only in Japanese) are: "Art and Society" and "Collection of Collection."
The party will feature Soju Tao (Okame pro), Megane x HIKO (alternative pole dancer) and okamotonoriaki (VJ + Live performance).
Event venue: Roppongi Hills Cafe 11:00 - 22:00. Entrance free (with purchase of one drink)

ARATANIURANO: GO WATANABE "LIGHTEDGE: FACE II"

lightedge: face II is the second solo show of the artist at ARATANIURANO, one of Tokyo's New Contemporaries. Watanabe mixes time and distance in his animation and digital prints. Most of the works are in monochrome which brings out its virtual character. This show opened January 22 and will be on view through February 26.
